5 lip products in 2 days | Haul

I think it's time to admit that I have a problem, I'm a lip product addict. I was having a rather emotional week as I passed my second year or uni with a 2:1 hoorah! and I was going through phases of feeling high and low, and what's the best way to conquer a low? retail therapy!

I was looking at the boots website and noticed that the bourjois rouge edition velvet line had been extended and two new shades were added and they looked gorgeous and considering it was 3 for 2 I just couldn't refuse, right? the two new shades are nude-ist which is a pinky nude shade that I couldn't refuse as it's the only nude in the line and grand cru which is a deep burgundy which I'm looking forward to wearing during autumn and on nights out. I also picked up personne ne rouge which is a glamorous true red which I have had my eye on for a while. I also managed to buy these products during the offer where you get a free pair of sunglasses which are actually really lovely, so I only paid for two products and got a lipstick and a pair of sunglasses free!

I was guildford which is the closest mac store to where I live and I don't get to go there too often, so I popped in and picked up the lipstick in 'please me' which has been on my wish list forever and it's a beautiful mid toned pink. I also found a shop that stocked korres in guildford and i've been in love with my jasmine lip butter recently so I got the shade 'quince' which is also a mid-tone sheer pink.

Have you picked up any new lip products recently?

Summer beauty haul

I have actually used all of the products that I'm showing in this haul apart from one of the nail polishes because I have zero self control. I've seen the Dove summer glow gradual tanner floating around the blogosphere a lot recently and thought I would pick it up and give it a go as my legs have been looking extremely pale, I do like this product but the shimmer is extremely noticeable when you first apply it, I find the shimmer is less intense once I have showered and it leaves my skin the most beautiful colour! Rimmel had on an offer where if you spend so much money you get the Rimmel natural bronze for free, so I picked up the stay matte powder and lash accelerator endless mascara which is now my new favourite mascara! as I was running extremely low on mascara and powder. Barry M had on a similar offer where If you spend £6 or more you get a free limited edition nail paint so I picked up the shade elderberry which is a muted bluey grey and prickly pear which is a beautiful lilac, I've become obsessed with the shade prickly pear and I'm itching to paint my nails with it again. I also picked up another Lilac nail polish because a girl can never have too many, right? this one was from Models own and it's the shade lilac sheen from their hyper gel collection and I can honestly say that I prefer the colour and formula of the Barry M Gelly hi-shine in prickly pear it's much more flattering on the nails.

Merry Christmas to me | Haul

So whilst i've been christmas shopping I made a few naughty purchases which I probably shouldn't have done... it all started when Aaron gave me an early christmas present, the origins mark marvels gift set (£25) which contains 3 75ml face mask (Intensive overnight mask, Intensive 10 minute mask, Clear improvement active charcoal mask) which I can report back and say they are all amazing, a full blog post will come on them soon. Winter isn't the same without a trip to lush, Baths in the winter time are amazing and so relaxing... although Aaron and my mum have brought me quite a lot of lush goodies for christmas I couldn't wait that long so I got a butterball bathbomb (£2.50) and Snowman (£2.50) which is the christmas version of butterball! I bought my first ever snow fairy shower gel (£10) and I can't get over how sugary sweet it smells, I can't wait to give it a whirl when I finish some of the many shower gels i'm currently using! I repurchased the Brazened honey face mask (£5.95) which is one of my favourite face masks I have ever tried, it leaves your skin looking smooth and radiant and I stupidly forgot to photograph it as it's in the fridge!

Next stop, boots! whilst getting some christmas presents for my good chum Jayne I made a few sneaky purchases, first up the real techniques exert face brush (£9.99) which I have heard so many good things about has now joined my collection, real techniques are also buy one get one half price at the moment!
I am the biggest fan of the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stains (£7.99), they're my favourite lip product ever and I have never seen the shade Romantic in store before so when I saw it I snatched it up and I'm so excited to try it. I also got a free glitter nail polish because I brought three revlon products (two are christmas presents and not mine, so I can't show them because they read my blog!) and finally another product which I don't think I could live without, the bobbi brown corrector (£18.50) I got mine for around £16 because of the 10% off event they had going on, which is always a nice surprise when you're about to pay!

So those are my christmas presents to myself... I lack any self restraint and shouldn't be allowed to go shopping. I'm so beyond excited for christmas and can't wait to chill out with my family and eat lots of good food!

Have you brought any christmas presents for yourself this year as a treat?

When I think of beauty shopping the place that instantly pops into my mind is guildford, it's my all time favorite place to shop, yet very bad for my bank account! The main reason why I went shopping was to get colour matched to the Laura mercier silk creme foundation which I have been dying to try for over a year and when Aaron told me he would buy it for me obviously I jumped at the chance, the girl who applied it to me was so lovely and offered me student discount I didn't know I even got discount in store?! which knocked the price down from £33.30 to £29.70 and she told me I should have got it on all the other beauty stands in house of fraser too... how annoying that they don't advertise it what-so-ever.

On my little shopping adventure with Jayne and my mum I ended up repurchasing the Benefit they're real! mascara, which really is as good as everyone says and I'm willing to pay the £19.50 price tag for it... even if it does kill me a little inside everytime I do. Because Jayne was at mac obviously I had to go check it out too... so I also caved and finally brought 'woodwinked' from mac, which is a beautiful bronze shade that i've had my eye on for ages, which Aaron paid for... oops!

My brother Ryan gave me £20 to buy some makeup to 'dirty up' his cosplay for MCM comic con, and the best thing I could think of would be spray tan! he said I could spend the rest of the money after, definitely not complaining... In the end he didn't want to use the spray tan because he didn't like the idea and said I could just keep them, so we ended up using one of my old bronzers and loose powder and it done the job perfectly! So he ended up paying for two bottles of the St. Moriz instant leg tanning spray and two Sinful colours nail varnishes in gogo girls and forget now, thanks Ryan!

Oh nuxe reve de miel lip balm (£9.50)... why are you so hyped up in the beauty community? as soon as I saw it I knew it had to come home with me, as if I needed another lip balm.
Finally and probably the least exciting item was white cream makeup for halloween! I did actually buy some new tartan pj bottoms and supercosy tights from primark but I couldn't be bothered to take pictures of them... I also found out that the iPhone torches make pretty okay lighting for pictures, even though it looks pretty darn awful in the photos in this post, sorry!

Beauty, fashion, stationary and more haul!

Before I went back to college, I really wanted to go out shopping and pick up a few bits for when I went back! I didn't buy all of this at the same time, it was brought over the space of 2 months and my lovely boyfriend Aaron brought me a lot of it as well (Thankyou Aaron!)

BEAUTY

As soon as I got paid I jumped onto the MAC website and ordered two of the retro matte lipsticks in all fired up and flat out fabulous - £15 each, because I absolutely fell in love with my RiRi Woo lipstick which I got in may.

I went into lush to pick up a lip scrub but I couldn't decide between mint julips of bubblegum... so I got both? - £5.50 each. I was disappointed because whenever I go to get the catastrophe cosmetic face mask they never have it in stock, so instead I thought I would try the brazened honey mask as It's one I haven't tried before - £5.95.

I took advantage of the superdrug 3 for 2 offer and picked up the sleek blusher in flushed - £4.29 (free)
Maybelline colour tattoo in metallic pomegranate - £4.99 and the bourjois colour boost lip crayon in red sunrise - £7.99 and then some essential bits I needed which were the bourjois 1 second nail polish remover - £4.99 and the batiste tropical dry shampoo - £1.48 which is currently half price and lost before I could take a photo of it...
From primark I picked up some face clothes which I use to take my makeup off at night, and a pack of hair bands! - £1 each

FASHION, STATIONARY & YANKEE CANDLE

Top on my shopping list was a new bag, and as soon as I saw this one little beauty in Topshop I knew it had to be mine, silly me forgot my student discount card and missed out on 20% that day, boo! I love the tan colour and how soft the "leather" is - Topshop £38

Because I was shopping for college I picked up some stationary, can I just say how damn cute the little panda highlighters are they all have different facial expressions and honestly how could I leave them behind? I didn't go overboard on stationary because I essentially have everything I need already.

Have I ever mentioned that I'm a complete sucker for candles and wax melts? well it's true and I've never had a chance to go to a yankee store before and smell every candle they have to offer so I was a bit excited when I could! The ones I picked up were Bahama breeze, Black coconut, Mango peach salsa and Red velvet - £1.20 each.

I only noticed when I was taking the photos that all three tops I brought were red and grey? clearly loving that colour combination at the moment!
Wonder woman raglan top - Primark £7
Coca cola top - Primark £6
Red and grey raglan top - Topman £15

TECHNOLOGY

Aaron so kindly brought me a new lens for my camera and some headphones! I'm in la la love with it.
I got the 50mm f/1.8 lens for my canon off amazon because it's so much cheaper on there!
skull candy headphones - £10 from HMV as Aaron had money left over on a gift voucher

Haul | MAC, Superdrug, Yankee candle and more

This month has been a good shopping month for me, I saved up money from last months wages and I ended up having a lot of extra money this month to treat myself with, I haven't brought everything myself, the Yankee candles were presents from my parents and were at a heavily discounted price!
All of these products weren't purchased at the same time, but over the space of a month.
A bulk of the products are repurchases, as it always seems I ran out of my essentials at the same time... never a good thing.

MAC
208 angled eyebrow brush
Charcoal brown eyeshadow
Pro palette quad
I've been wanting to try out new products for my eyebrows, I love my benefit browzings but I thought having my everyday eyeshadow colours (All that glitters & Satin taupe) and an eyebrow colour in one quad would just make life that little bit easier, and charcoal brown will also be a snazzy crease colour!

NYX
Two soft matte lip creams in Milan and San Paulo
As soon as I saw Kassia from styleofbeautyduo rave on about these products I've wanted them, I'm a matte lip colour kind of girl and I don't like the feeling of heavy gloss on my lips.

BOOTS & SUPERDRUG
Collection cream puff in fairy cake
Maybelline lasting drama gel liner
Rimmel stay matte powder
Collection lasting perfection concealer
Rimmel salon pro nail polish in "Soul session"
Rimmel Wake me up foundation
La roche-posay effaclar mat
Pamlers cocoa butter dark chocolate and peppermint lip butter

CANDLES
Two large Yankee candles in black coconut and summer scoop
Three Kringle candle wax melts in Pancake breakfast, lemon rind and splash

I also brought the cutest pair of tweezers for £1.95 and they're so sharp and great for getting out hairs, with a cath kidston like print on them!

What's your favorite product from this haul?
