Review | Clarins pure melt cleansing gel

I'm the kind of person who finds it extremely hard to stick to one product and stay faithful to it when it comes to skincare, I don't think I have ever repurchased a cleanser because I feel like I can't live without it, I like to experiment with cleansers as I'm recently getting more into skincare and trying to find that 'miracle product' for my skin. The clarins pure melt cleansing gel retails at a whopping £19 for a 125ml tube, I like to use a makeup remover to get rid of the bulk of my makeup, then massage a blob of the pure melt cleansing gel about the size of a 10p coin onto dry skin for a couple of minutes and then wash off with warm water. The product starts off a gel when squeezed out of the tube and then turns into a lightweight oil once massaged onto your face, then once it has made contact with water it turns into a milk consistency, one thing I love about this product is that it makes your face feel so fresh and clean, yet moisturised at the same time! although I have extremely dry eyes and I feel that this can sometimes make them feel a tiny bit tight, but I haven't yet found a cleanser other than the Liz Earle cleanse and polish which hasn't done this, so I can't gripe about that. Since using this, all of my spots have cleared up and I haven't suffered from one breakout, I love using this in the morning as it makes my face look radiant and glowy, exactly what a girl wants in the spring/summer! this product really does get rid of every scrap of makeup which may be left on your face and I do think it's worth the £19 price tag and I will most likely be repurchasing.

what's your favorite cleanser?

FOTD | Red lips and winged eyeliner

I clearly didn't get the message that summer time means pretty pastels and coral lipsticks. Today I went to a Basingstoke to what I thought was to get my iPhone fixed, but ended up being given a brand new one by apple, result! then went to my boyfriends house for a leaving BBQ, in the beautiful sunshine! sadly, I haven't caught a tan. Todays face was a full coverage foundation with winged eyeliner, on a day-to-day basis I don't wear lipstick, but thought I would jazz it up today with a bit of red... but can I just say right now that myself, lipstick and food don't match very well... messy!

Review | Benefit browzings

I'm a sucker for benefit products, everything I buy from them I instantly fall in love with, including this product. Benefit browzings is an eyebrow kit, which retails at £23.50 (If you're a student and on Unidays, you can get 10% off from benefit on asos all the time). The product comes in 3 different shades (light, medium and dark) so this is suitable for people with fair hair too! I use the shade dark because it was the best match for my brows. My natural eyebrows are uneven, and sparse... I used to get picked on for having 'a hairy face' and I had thick eyebrows, so one day I decided to start plucking them until eventually I only had half of my eyebrows left and they looked awful, which then meant people commented on how bad they looked, for a young girl this really made me lack in confidence so I've always had a fringe to cover my forehead and eyebrows, in the last year or more I decided I don't want a fringe anymore, and my eyebrows have grown back and i've been okay with them, and now i'm trying again to grow them back a tiny bit so the natural shape is more flattering and I don't have to fill my eyebrows in so much. Sorry for the life story of my eyebrows, but there it is!

This product has become a staple in my everyday routine and I'm in love with it, Although I fill in my eyebrows quite a lot, most of my friends and my boyfriends family didn't even know I used any product on my eyebrows and always remark on how nice they look. Depending on how you use it, you can make your eyebrows look extremely natural or slug-like creatures!. the kit contains a wax, a powder, mini tweezers and two brushes in a compact with a mirror, which makes it travel friendly and you don't have to dig through your makeup bag for several different products. the wax is used to define your eyebrows and shape them, and powder is there to fill in any sparse gaps, both are highly pigmented so you don't need to use much at all (I recommend using a very light hand with the powder if you don't want the 'drawn on' effect eyebrows). I have worn this all day, had a nap, brushed my hand against my brows and the product hasn't budged! it really does stay on all day and you don't have to worry about having an unattractive eyebrow smear down your face halfway through the day.
I have been using this everyday since January and have hardly made a dent in it. also if you want your eyebrows to look even more natural, buy an eyebrow brush/spoolie to help brush out a bit of the product.
If you don't want to splurge £23.50 on this kit, there are cheaper alternatives to this product (Sleek, MUA etc...) but I think I will continue to repurchase benefit brow zings because I have never had any problems with it and I love it, 100% a holy grail product of mine.

Review | Bobbi Brown corrector

When I went to guildford for my birthday shopping with Aaron, I thought I was going to go makeup crazy. I find that guildford has everything a girl could ever want, although I restrained myself and brought ONE makeup item... crazy! I brought the bobbi brown corrector and the counter lady matched me up to the shade light to medium bisque which I feel was the perfect shade for me, hoorah!
The bobbi brown correctors are pink/peach toned which helps cancel out any purple/blue under your eyes. I've always noticed that I have extremely dark under eyes compared to other girls and it bugs me to no end, i've wanted to buy the bobbi brown corrector for such a long time but for £18 the packaging is absolutely tiny, but after looking in the mirror after the girl applied it to me I fell in love!
I find that it really brightens up your under eyes and makes you look more awake, it's got a really creamy texture which is easy to blend a little goes a long way, explains the small packaging I guess? i've stopped using my collection lasting perfect concealer under my eyes now, and switched it up for Benefit erase past and together I feel that they camouflage my under eyes extremely well! I have used the corrector everyday since I purchased it and I will be going back to repurchase once this one's finished! I'm now thinking about buying the creamy concealer... decisions!

Excuse the naughty manga wallpaper, this was taken in my brothers bedroom as he's blessed with

Recent beauty buys | MAC & Clarins

So... I was naughty and made a few online purchases over the past week and both parcels
arrived on the same day, I came home from work an extremely happy chappy to say the least! These beauty products are my birthday present to myself... because why the hell not? A girl can never have too many lipsticks or eyeshadows!

Mac store online

First of all I was having a little look on the mac website and noticed that RiRi Woo
was launched an hour before and I was in two minds if I should buy it or not... in the end, obviously I caved. I also brought All that glitters and Satin taupe eye shadows in pan form, along with the pro palette duo (why I was originally on the mac website) I've been absolutley dying to see why people love these two colours so much the closest Mac store to me is still quite far and I don't go there often, the last time I went there was my birthday last year where I purchased my one and only Mac blush "Well dressed" which doesn't suit my complexion much and was kind of a waste of money. After swatching the two colours, my first thought was that they are gorgeous and would compliment eachother extremely well, i'm looking forward to wearing these two colours on saturday!

Debenhams

Next stop, debenhams! I have been wanting to try mac fix + for quite a while now but couldn't justify spending £13.50 on a squirty bottle filled with... vitamin/mineral water, with lots of other good stuff in? I'll be doing a full review on all the products included after I've trialed them for a while, so you never know... fix + could be worth the hype that was around it in my opinion. the next thing I popped into my (now expensive) online basket was Clarins pure melt cleansing gel, genuinely brought this because of Lily melrose hyping this product up so much, and my current skincare routine isn't perfect and I get extremely dry eyes, so the fact that this melts into an oil, then into a milk sounded perfect to me.

I'm going to be using all of these products on saturday night, for my birthday night out (woo!) I might be posting a "make up/outfit of the night" post hopefully sunday please tell me if that's something you would like to see? I also have a christening on sunday and then it's my birthday on monday, busy bee I am!

Do you love any of these products?
