Christmas day makeup look | Video

I'm free from education for two weeks now that it's christmas break, hurrah! so to start the holidays off I thought I'd do a christmas makeup look, I have some other exciting videos planned for the next couple of weeks now that I actually have some free time! This is the makeup i'm planning on wearing on christmas day, I think it's quite festive and not over the top or offensive. I would do a christmas OOTD but i'll be honest, I lounge around in Pj's eating food all day so unless you want to see what pyjamas I'm wearing on christmas day it'll be a bit pointless... hope you enjoy the video!

My foundation dream team

The three musketeers of my makeup bag which give me a perfect flawless base, I use these three products nearly everyday as it's fool proof and I know it'll look good when I'm done applying it. I start off by applying my Nars sheer glow foundation in dots all around my face, I then go on to spraying my Real techniques buffing brush with 1 spray of Mac Fix + and buff in the foundation. on an everyday basis I'll only use one layer of my Nars sheer glow foundation, but for an evening or night out look I will just put a little bit of extra foundation on my cheeks, nose and chin to give me a bit of extra coverage. I find that the fix + helps my foundation blend in more smoothly and gives me a more fresh faced look, and I will just point out now that even though the foundation is called 'sheer glow' the foundation isn't sheer what-so-ever, it gives a medium buildable to full coverage base without looking cakey, one of the things I love most about the foundation is that you can't feel it on your skin and it's very comfortable to wear for a long period of time. After i've applied my base, concealed, powdered and all of that jazz I will just spray my face once more with fix + to give myself a dewier finish and to set everything in place.

what products give you the perfect base?

Video | Everyday makeup routine

So guys, this is my first ever video to go on youtube! I'm quite pleased with the outcome but obviously there's improvements to be made, I would love it if you would watch it and give me some feedback, it was so much fun to make, I now know why youtubers love what they do!

P.s, sorry about the awful thumbnail, It only gave me an option of three? need to work on fixing that!

FOTD | Batman meets San paulo

I'm a very casual person, i'm not a fan of dressing up too much... in fact i'm at my happiest when I'm in my pyjamas, if only it was socially acceptable to wear pyjamas out in public, that would be bliss... small OOTD for you in here too.
This is the makeup look i've been going for everyday at the moment, even in the summer i'm not a fan of sheer coverage foundation (Ironic that my foundation of choice is "Nars sheer glow") and generally less makeup.

I don't know if it's too noticeable, but i've been filling my eyebrows in with MAC charcoal brown instead of my benefit browzingz and it's given me a more natural look, which I'm loving for my brows at the moment! I have one more space left in my MAC quad where I want to put a highlight shade, can anyone recommend to me a nice highlight colour from mac? (that isn't vanilla)

Products used in order of applying: Benefit porefessional > nars sheer glow foundation > bobbi brown corrector > collection lasting perfection concealer > mac charcoal brown (eyebrows) > rimmel stay matte powder > sleek face form kit in light > soap and glory glow all out highlighter > mac all that glitters, charcoal brown and satin taupe(eyeshadows) > maybelline eyestudio lasting drama gel eyeliner > Maybelline the falsies mascara > mac fix+ > nyx soft matte lip cream in san paulo

What's your favorite mac eyeshadow?

Review | Nars sheer glow foundation

*Picture of foundation after 5 hours of wear*

Nars claim that the sheer glow foundation is "A glowing, satin-finish foundation with a sheer and buildable coverage that immaculately evens out skin tone" and I would just like to say that Nars have hit the nail on the head with that statement, apart from the fact that I do feel like the foundation is definitely a higher coverage than sheer, more of a medium - buildable (which I 100% prefer)
I got this foundation because I was having a look on Unidays and noticed that ASOS had a 20% off  deal, including beauty products with free delivery which knocked down the price down from £30.50 to  £24.40... even though it's only a few pounds, I seemed to justify the price in my head and brought it instantly! I've never been matched to this foundation at a counter, I went onto the "findation" website and it matched me to the shade "Deauville" and this is the PERFECT foundation shade for me, I have never found a foundation that has matched my skin tone better than this! to test out the staying power I went to work for an 8 hour shift, with no primer or fix+ spray on and by the end of my shift, it still looked almost perfect, I was seriously amazed! usually my foundation rubs off on my chin/nose at work due to having a slightly oily T-zone, but nope not from this little beauty! now... one thing I would like to have a moan about is the packaging, why does this foundation not come with a pump? I know you can buy one separately but considering the price you would think that Nars would include one? I'm not a fan of pouring straight from the bottle as I feel like you use way more product than you need to!
At the moment, I would go as far as saying that this is one of my all time favourite foundations, as I look forward to that subtle healthy glow that this gives me everyday!

have you tried this foundation? what are your thoughts on it?
