Nars pure radiant tinted moisturiser

I find it quite hard to believe that I haven't spoken about the Nars pure radiant tinted moisturiser sooner on my blog, it's become my favourite base probably of all time! When the weather started picking up at the beginning of summer I was becoming fed up with how my foundation was sitting on my face, it was just melting and it felt so uncomfortable on my skin. My hunt for the perfect tinted moisturiser begun, I read review after review of lots of different tinted moisturisers and one that cropped up countlessly with rave reviews was the nars pure radiant tinted moisturiser, so I popped it into my online shopping basket and ordered it... and I haven't touched any foundations since the day it arrived on my doorstep which is quite a big deal for me. I'll be honest, I don't really have bad skin and as much as I complain about it I know i've got it pretty easy when it comes down to it but the thought of applying anything sheer - light coverage on my skin terrified me because I was too used to wearing full coverage foundations and concealing everything, but all of that has changed and my opinions on lighter bases since I purchased this.

I absolutely love the coverage that this gives, although it's light it blurs out all of my imperfections and makes my skin look really healthy. I find applying it with a brush (real techniques buffing brush) gives me more coverage but day-to-day I just like to apply it using my fingers and it gives a really natural finish and it's quick and easier to apply this way. I have found that it's quite easy to build up the coverage if you apply it in layers but I personally like the 'my skin but better' natural look it gives with one layer so that's what I tend to stick with. I always powder my face because my bases have a tendency to slip and slide off my face but without powder it gives a dewy, glowing finish which makes me wish I could get away with it without powder, but it's equally as beautiful mattified down.

I wear this tinted moisturiser throughout my 9.5 hour shifts at work and don't touch up my makeup at all during the day and when I get home it still looks pretty decent, I normally have a tiny bit of wear on my chin but let's be honest, it's a tinted moisturiser and it's not going to stick around all day so I'm extremely happy with the wear time that it has. Nars have packaged this little beauty in their typical rubberised packaging which is notorious for getting dirty very quickly and this isn't any different to their other product packaging, it. get's. so. messy. On the plus side I'm extremely happy that it comes in a squeazy tube so it's easy to dispense and control how much product I want so I'm not wasting any product but pumping out too much.

Overall I really love this tinted moisturiser and can see myself rocking it all through autumn/winter as well as summer, it's a good'un!

My foundation dream team

The three musketeers of my makeup bag which give me a perfect flawless base, I use these three products nearly everyday as it's fool proof and I know it'll look good when I'm done applying it. I start off by applying my Nars sheer glow foundation in dots all around my face, I then go on to spraying my Real techniques buffing brush with 1 spray of Mac Fix + and buff in the foundation. on an everyday basis I'll only use one layer of my Nars sheer glow foundation, but for an evening or night out look I will just put a little bit of extra foundation on my cheeks, nose and chin to give me a bit of extra coverage. I find that the fix + helps my foundation blend in more smoothly and gives me a more fresh faced look, and I will just point out now that even though the foundation is called 'sheer glow' the foundation isn't sheer what-so-ever, it gives a medium buildable to full coverage base without looking cakey, one of the things I love most about the foundation is that you can't feel it on your skin and it's very comfortable to wear for a long period of time. After i've applied my base, concealed, powdered and all of that jazz I will just spray my face once more with fix + to give myself a dewier finish and to set everything in place.

what products give you the perfect base?

Review | Nars sheer glow foundation

*Picture of foundation after 5 hours of wear*

Nars claim that the sheer glow foundation is "A glowing, satin-finish foundation with a sheer and buildable coverage that immaculately evens out skin tone" and I would just like to say that Nars have hit the nail on the head with that statement, apart from the fact that I do feel like the foundation is definitely a higher coverage than sheer, more of a medium - buildable (which I 100% prefer)
I got this foundation because I was having a look on Unidays and noticed that ASOS had a 20% off  deal, including beauty products with free delivery which knocked down the price down from £30.50 to  £24.40... even though it's only a few pounds, I seemed to justify the price in my head and brought it instantly! I've never been matched to this foundation at a counter, I went onto the "findation" website and it matched me to the shade "Deauville" and this is the PERFECT foundation shade for me, I have never found a foundation that has matched my skin tone better than this! to test out the staying power I went to work for an 8 hour shift, with no primer or fix+ spray on and by the end of my shift, it still looked almost perfect, I was seriously amazed! usually my foundation rubs off on my chin/nose at work due to having a slightly oily T-zone, but nope not from this little beauty! now... one thing I would like to have a moan about is the packaging, why does this foundation not come with a pump? I know you can buy one separately but considering the price you would think that Nars would include one? I'm not a fan of pouring straight from the bottle as I feel like you use way more product than you need to!
At the moment, I would go as far as saying that this is one of my all time favourite foundations, as I look forward to that subtle healthy glow that this gives me everyday!

have you tried this foundation? what are your thoughts on it?
